Memorandum of understanding(MOU)
A Memorandum of understanding was signed by the Department of Computer Applications, Asan Memorial college of Arts & Science on 25th November 2022 with CSC Computer Education, with the aim to create collaborative short term education programmes like Python ,Web Designing ,Advance Excel facilitate the students acquire knowledge on the same through seminars, project works etc.

Vaagai Pasarai
Competitions are designed for winners and the sole purpose of winning. But we at Asanmake the very participation at par with the joy of winning. In contemplation of making the students to cherish the values of friendship and team spirit with fun, every year we conduct a togetherness of distinguished college students through a Mega Inter-collegiate Meet-VaagaiPaasarai of Shift -II. ———- number of colleges participate every year and ——–number of students enthusiastically join in the various events, conducted by all the departments of Shift-II. Events like Business Games, Logo Hunting, Share Markets, Face Painting, Connexions, Cross-Word Puzzles, Word Scrambles, Spell Bee, Verbs Smash, Poetry Writing in Tamil, Identifying the Pictures, ThamizhArivom, Speech in Hindi, Quiz in Hindi, Dumb Charades,Pictionnaire, Rappelez and many more have been conducted since 2017. Both the individual and team events are included. The prizes for the winners and the runner-ups are given for all the eventsand the Over-all Championship is awarded for the winning college team.
Asan Vista
“Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things, they are transformed”. Social awareness changes the minds of the students and the way they observe the world around them. In the pursuance of exposing the students to the social issues around them an Expo, named ASAN VISTA has been initiated by SHIFT-II. In this platform, the students exhibit their models of the social issues, display their talents by enacting Mime and singing Ghana songs. The video presentations of the social themes are also prepared and displayed to the students of college and school. ASAN VISTA cultivates amore positive perspective among the students towards the society and help them take a positive step towards a prosperous tomorrow
Planning Forum
As in the words of Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, I’ll remember. Involve me, I’ll learn”, the students are encouraged to participate in different activities put forth through a platform of Shift-II, titled Planning Forum, which exhibit their talents in various competitions, conducted by all the departments. It is an inter-departmental meet. The competitions like Quantitative Aptitude, Debate, Just A Minute, Extempore, Pinpoint, Essay-Writing, Short-story Writing, Quiz, Business Games,Spell Bee,Connexions,Logo Hunt, etc. are conducted every year for the students of all the departments. The individual events as well as team events are conducted and prizes awarded accordingly.
Cache-IT
Cache – IT is an Inter-Collegiate IT Meet conducted every year with an aim to introduce students to various advancements in computer science and technology.
Industrial Visit
Going by the saying”A picture speaks a thousand words”, and industrial visit helps a student better visualise the hardships and challenges faced at the ground, that a thousand case studies may find hard to demonstrate. The students are taken to different industries like ports, harbours and other industrial premises to garner this visualisation.

In contemplation of making the students to cherish the values of friendship and team spirit with fun, every year we conduct a togetherness of distinguished college students through a Mega Inter-collegiate Meet-VaagaiPaasarai of Shift -II. ———- number of colleges participate every year and ——–number of students enthusiastically join in the various events, conducted by all the departments of Shift-II. Events like Business Games, Logo Hunting, Share Markets, Face Painting, Connexions, Cross-Word Puzzles, Word Scrambles, Spell Bee, Verbs Smash, Poetry Writing in Tamil, Identifying the Pictures, ThamizhArivom, Speech in Hindi, Quiz in Hindi, Dumb Charades,Pictionnaire, Rappelez and many more have been conducted since 2017. Both the individual and team events are included. The prizes for the winners and the runner-ups are given for all the eventsand the Over-all Championship is awarded for the winning college team.
Asan Vista
“Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things, they are transformed”. Social awareness changes the minds of the students and the way they observe the world around them. In the pursuance of exposing the students to the social issues around them an Expo, named ASAN VISTA has been initiated by SHIFT-II. In this platform, the students exhibit their models of the social issues, display their talents by enacting Mime and singing Ghana songs. The video presentations of the social themes are also prepared and displayed to the students of college and school. ASAN VISTA cultivates amore positive perspective among the students towards the society and help them take a positive step towards a prosperous tomorrow
Planning Forum
As in the words of Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, I’ll remember. Involve me, I’ll learn”, the students are encouraged to participate in different activities put forth through a platform of Shift-II, titled Planning Forum, which exhibit their talents in various competitions, conducted by all the departments. It is an inter-departmental meet. The competitions like Quantitative Aptitude, Debate, Just A Minute, Extempore, Pinpoint, Essay-Writing, Short-story Writing, Quiz, Business Games,Spell Bee,Connexions,Logo Hunt, etc. are conducted every year for the students of all the departments. The individual events as well as team events are conducted and prizes awarded accordingly.

Cache – IT is an Inter-Collegiate IT Meet conducted every year with an aim to introduce students to various advancements in computer science and technology.
Industrial Visit
Going by the saying”A picture speaks a thousand words”, and industrial visit helps a student better visualise the hardships and challenges faced at the ground, that a thousand case studies may find hard to demonstrate. The students are taken to different industries like ports, harbours and other industrial premises to garner this visualisation.
