M.Sc BioChemistry

M.Sc Biochemistry is designed to make a student to focus in-depth about the subject and balance the theoretical and practical knowledge .They are groomed to get exposed to high practical and project activities, through which they gain proficiency in laboratory techniques in both biochemistry and molecular biology and are able to apply the scientific methods to the process of experiments and hypothesis testing. PG students will definitely cultivate deep knowledge in Biochemical Techniques, Immunohistochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Energy Drug Metabolism, Signal Transduction, Biotechnology etc.

• The Biochemistry programs are designed to forecast the students skill in the fields such as clinical laboratory, Quality control, Research, Medical coding, Health care etc.,
• During the period of study, the students are moulded academically to meet the needs of the society. They are trained up with all basic Bio instrumentation techniques, apart from their academics. Personality development trainings are given to develop their thinking capability, improve their team work sprit and rearing them in the field of research.

• Students are exposed to explain about the carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and their metabolic role along with their regulation.
• Students are trained to use current biochemical and molecular techniques to plan and carry out experiments.
• Students are exposed to industries and laboratories through means of internship training programs.
• Students were permitted to take part in environmental awareness activities through presentations and insisting them to do mini projects based on the exposure they have obtained from the environmental aspects.
• The students are provided with the ethical decision making morals related to biochemical environment.
• The students are well trained to organize their own clinical laboratories to fit skills with limited expenditure.
• Students are able to fix their career in different fields such as medical coding, e-publishing, quality control, research, etc.
• Students are trained up to be in the depth knowledge in Research.
• PG & Research students were permitted and instructed to handle all the expensive sensitive instruments for their project work. Students were educated to analyze their results statistically and to interpret the values clinically.
