A grand Pongal celebration was conducted on 11th January 2020. Various competitions like Pongal cooking contest, Pullikolam, Uriadithal and Ilavattakal were conducted. Students performed traditional Tamil Art forms like Nattupura paatu and Folk dance. The college had a festive look with Pongal Sandhai stalls selling tasty traditional savouries and other treats.

NSS Unit organised a Tree Planting Programme on 28th November 2019. Nearly 150 saplings were planted along Medavakkam Main Road and around Pallikaranai and Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple.Dr. S. Ramesh Kumar, NSS Programme Officer and 100 NSS volunteers participated in a rally for World Wet Land Day celebration organised by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department on 2nd February 2019.The volunteers formed a Human Chain to raise awareness on the Preservation of Wetlands.
