The Library and Information Science graduate from the University of Madras also has an MBA degree from the MEASI Institute of Management securing 5th Rank. She obtained her Doctoral Degree in Library and Information Science from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal, in 2020 on “Library Human Resource Management in Selected Academic Institutions in Chennai: An Evaluative Study”. She has 22 years of experience in the field with numerous research publications and presentations to her credit. She has a lifetime association membership with Madras Library Association (MALA, the Society for the of Library and Information Science (SALIS) and LIS Academy. Dr. Manjula is the recipient of the Best Librarian Award thrice from Madras Library Association (MALA) in .2017, Indian Academic Researchers Association in 2023 and from New Research And Innovation Society (NEWRAINS) in 2024. She also received the Noolaga Maamani Award issued by Tamil Nadu Librarians.com and Poet Dr. Mohanarangan Educational and Training Centre in 2021.
