Department of computer science organised a Guest lecturer on Automation Testing. The Resource person is Ms. Prathima, Senior Testing engineer, CTS Chennai on 19 Jan 2024.
Department of computer science organized a Guest Lecturer on Corporate Industry Exposure on 4th October 2023.

V. SAROJINI (II B. Sc C. S.) NSS Volunteer of Asan Memorial College of Arts & Science, Chennai, Affiliated to University of Madras participated in the 27th National Youth Festival 2024 at Nashik, Maharashtra from 12th to 16th January, 2023 and attended Youth Summit.
R.Ramachandran, K.Karthikeyan & A.Boobharathi of III B.Sc (CS) got IInd prize for creating one minute video for “Artificial intelligence” in Pozhil Panbalai(Singapore FM)
A.Boobharathi of III B.Sc (CS) won Rs.3000 cash prize in Speech competition conducted by Central institute of classical Tamil studies and Thiruvalluvar Tamil literary club on 5 Jan 2024
DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES
A Memorandum of understanding was signed by the Department of Computer Science, Asan Memorial college of Arts & Science on December 15th 2022 with Mosooq Training Academy, Chennai, with the aim to create collaborative short term education programmes like CCNA, Java and Testing to facilitate the students acquire knowledge on the same through seminars, project works etc
A Memorandum of understanding was signed by the Department of Computer Science, Asan Memorial college of Arts & Science on December 15th 2022 with Cloud Synapse Technologies, Chennai, with the aim to train the students have a hands-on experience on topics like Cloud, Devops, Azure, Kubernetes, Angular, React, , .NET
Alumnus Mr.Shahul Hameed(2012 to 2015 batch) and Mr. Desh (1997-2000 Batch) addressed First and Final year Students and gave speech on “Expectations of IT Industry” on 22 Aug 2022.

Lochan, IAS, Secretary (Youth Affairs) Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India , on the topics of EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARATH (EBSB), SWACHH BHARAT – Clean India activities, FIT INDIA, Environment Awareness Programme, at Anna University, Chennai on December 3, 2022.
2. II and III BSc (CS) students participated in Women’s Rights Rally on 12th Dec 2022, organized by Women’s Studies Cell of AMCAS at the College campus.
3. II BSc Students participated in Environment related Quiz, Slogan Writing and Word Search conducted by Dept of BBA.
4. II and III BSc Students pariticipated in ASAN Vista-2022 (Road Safety and Drugs and Consequesces)’ conducted by Dept of English on 21stOct 2022.
5. II BSc Students attended Online Quiz on Asan –Vista (WATER MANAGEMENT, FUEL CONSERVATION and POLLUTION ) conducted by Department of Statistics on 21stoct 2022
6. Shanmugavel and R. Boobharathi of II BSc(CS) participated in a Bicycle Rally in demonstrating World Peace, Religious Tolerance National Integration and abolishing Untouchability on Gandhi Jayanthi. This programme was organised by the Government of Tamil Nadu commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s 154th Birthday on 2nd October 2022 from Marina Beach to Gandhi Mandapam, Guindy, Chennai.
7. II BSc Boobarathi, vysnavi, participated to observe 154th Birthday Mahatma Gandhi’s in a befitting manner with Cultural events Chaired by our Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu and Ministers of Tamil Nadu. This programme was organised by the Government of Tamil Nadu on 2nd October 2022 Gandhi Mandapam, Guindy, Chennai.
8. II BSc(CS) Students of our dept participated participated in a Mega event – ‘Coastal Clean up’, a Drive organised by the District Rotaract Council 22-23 on Sep 17, 2022 at Besant Nagar Beach.
9. II BSc students Shanmugavel, Boobharathi and team participated ECO QUIZ and WORD SEARCH in 10thEdition of Environmental Studies Exhibition EVS EXPO on 23rd September 2022.
10. Swetha -II BSc and Chithirai kani of III BSc(CS) students have participated Essay Writing in Open Book Competition on Lecture Delivered by Swami Vivekananda Culture Centre. Results announced on 11thof sep 2022.
11. II BSc Students Boobharathi and team participated in pookkolam competition in Onam Celebrations on September 6, 2022.

Android Applications
The Department of Computer Application organised a One-Day Workshop on “Android Applications” on 25th January 2014. The workshop aims at equipping the students with the seamless experience running many tasks at the same time with Android Devices.
