1.Student of 2nd B.Com(G) – Vikash Students library Co-ordinator & Organiser participated in event ” Agini sirakugal”conducted by Anna centenary library on 11th September 2024.

4.Student of 1st B.Com (G) – Harini, Helan Beula, S,Dinesh.B, Pranesh Balani, participated in event ” Jewellery making” conducted by MGR Janaki college of arts and science on 14th August 2024.
5.Student of 3rd B.Com (G) – Koushik Roy participated in event ” T-shirt painting ” conducted by MGR Janaki college of arts and science on 4th March 2025.
6.Student of 3rd B.Com(G) – Gopalkrishnan’s, Saravanan’s, participated in ” Cricket match” conducted by SIVET COLLEGE on 20th August 2024.

Asan Vista
“Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things, they are transformed”. Social awareness changes the minds of the students and the way they observe the world around them. In the pursuance of exposing the students to the social issues around them an Expo, named ASAN VISTA has been initiated by SHIFT-II. In this platform, the students exhibit their models of the DRUG ABUSE AND AIR POLLUTION, display their talents by displayed students working, non-working projects, charts of drug abuse and air pollution also played a “Short film” of students’ work on”Drug Abuse” for about 3 minutes on 21.10.2022
ASAN VISTA cultivates amore positive perspective among the students towards the society and help them take a positive step towards a prosperous tomorrow.
Planning Forum
As in the words of Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, I’ll remember. Involve me, I’ll learn”, the students are encouraged to participate in different activities put forth through a platform of Shift-II, titled Planning Forum, which exhibit their talents in various competitions, conducted by all the departments. It is an inter-departmental meet. The Department Conducted a planning forum “Logo Hunt” on 26.08.2022
Guest Lecture and Seminar
Guest Lecture and Seminar enhance the intelligence of students and staff members who handle diverse modules of Commerce, Accounts and Economics. The learned, experienced and outstanding professors from various universities and colleges are invited to drive the synergy of the students towards their goals.
Department of Commerce General has organized a Guest Lecture, titled “AUDITING UNDER EDP ENVIRONMENT AND APPLICATION ZOHO BOOKS”. the Resource Person is MR. VENKATESH, CERTIFIED CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT on 28.10.2022
Department of Commerce, General. Shift II arranged Guest Lecture on “ACCA and A CAREER OPTION” dated 28.02.2023.
PUNITH KUMAR., a Certified Charted Accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), delivered Lecture on ACCA Courses and Employability at a global level with a handsome reward. 100 students actively participated and clarified the various courses offered by ACCA and career opportunities
Industrial Visit
Going by the saying”A picture speaks a thousand words”, and industrial visit helps a student better visualise the hardships and challenges faced at the ground, that a thousand case studies may find hard to demonstrate. The students are taken to different industries like ports, harbours and other industrial premises to garner this visualisation.

Competitions are designed for winners and the sole purpose of winning. But we at Asanmake the very participation at par with the joy of winning. In contemplation of making the students to cherish the values of friendship and team spirit with fun, every year we conduct a togetherness of distinguished college students through a Mega Inter-collegiate Meet-VaagaiPaasarai of Shift -II. ———- number of colleges participate every year and ——–number of students enthusiastically join in the various events, conducted by all the departments of Shift-II. Events like Business Games, Logo Hunting, Share Markets, Face Painting, Connexions, Cross-Word Puzzles, Word Scrambles, Spell Bee, Verbs Smash, Poetry Writing in Tamil, Identifying the Pictures, ThamizhArivom, Speech in Hindi, Quiz in Hindi, Dumb Charades,Pictionnaire, Rappelez and many more have been conducted since 2017. Both the individual and team events are included. The prizes for the winners and the runner-ups are given for all the eventsand the Over-all Championship is awarded for the winning college team.

Workshops have been conducted to enhance the learning process of the students. Experienced professionals from various companies are invited and they impart the concepts of Commerce, Accounts and Economics to the students with enthusiasm.
