Dr.Padmavathi is an Associate Professor with a Doctorate in Hindi and over eighteen years of teaching experience. She has been appointed as a chairperson and paper setter for Pondichery University. Dr. Padmavathi has published her research articles in international peer-reviewed journals like Shodharsh and Garbhanaal. Her travelogues, short stories, and book criticism get regularly published in national and international magazines like Sahitya Kunj (Canada), Katha Purvai (UK), Baal Bharati (Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India) and Sahity Amrit (Delhi Publication). She has been the recipient of the Best Teacher Award (by the TN Governor), Best Pracharak Award (Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai), Hindi Sahitya Ratn (Srujan Santha, New Delhi). She is also a polyglot.
